§ Accessibility · Statement of intent
Accessibility is part of the bar, not a bolt-on.
We hold every public surface to WCAG 2.2 AA per ADR-015. The commitments below are the floor — if anything below the floor lands, that is a defect and we want to know.
§ 01 · Commitments
- 01
WCAG 2.2 AA across every public-facing surface
Per ADR-015 we hold the consumer site, the admin, and the agent portal to WCAG 2.2 AA. Keyboard navigation, screen-reader semantics, focus visibility, contrast ratios — all part of the bar.
- 02
Real semantics, not div-soup
Headings nest properly. Form fields are labelled. Live regions announce status changes. Buttons are buttons; links are links; we do not pretend a div is either.
- 03
Designed for slow connections and small phones
The site renders text-first on a 3G connection. Photos fail gracefully. Touch targets meet WCAG 2.5.8 (24×24 CSS px minimum) and our own 44×44 floor on operator surfaces.
- 04
No motion that we cannot disable
Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion. Where motion is decorative, it is suppressed for users who want it suppressed.
- 05
Plain language alongside legalese
Where regulators require precise legal phrasing, we keep it — and follow it with a plain-language gloss. Maldives tax line-itemising, cancellation policies, IMUGA explainers all go through this filter.

§ 04 · Standards we hold ourselves to
- • WCAG 2.2 AA — the floor for every public surface (ADR-015)
- • WAI-ARIA 1.2 — for non-trivial interactive components
- • EN 301 549 — the EU public-sector accessibility regulation, applied as our own bar even though we are not subject to it
- • UK GDS service standard 5 — for the inclusive-design discipline; applied as an internal-review reference
